Where Do I Park?

The City runs twelve parking lots.  These lot locations can be viewed using the online Public Parking Lots Interactive Tour. Beyond lots, there are over 300 City street meters in the Downtown Manhattan Beach business district. ARE THERE ADA PARKING SPACES?

Yes! There are many ADA parking spaces in the city lots. Visit the PARKING page see a list and map of where they are located. 

when is the farmers market?

The Farmers Market is currently in Regular Hours: Tuesdays, 11 AM – 4 PM

Located at Metlox Plaza behind Shade Hotel
13th Street + Morningside Drive – Metered parking is available in the underground Metlox parking lot or in Lot 3 at Morningside and 12th Street. For more information, visit our FARMERS MARKET page.

Does the farmers market accept The EBT program?

YES! Stop by the information booth (the bright orange tent) in the quad area to make the exchange.

Where do I find the latest community events? 

Downtown Manhattan Beach is home to many annual events, including televised AVP tournaments, the World Famous Pumpkin Race, and Travel Channel's top ranked Holiday Fireworks. To see these events and many others, visit our EVENTS page!
 

is the beach, dog friendly?

Although we love to see our friends and neighbors walking their furry friends through the streets of Downtown Manhattan Beach, there are no pets allowed on the beach or the pier. Walk along the strand, just make sure you keep your dog leashed and take advantage of the poop bag stations when a mishap occurs.

What is that building at the end of the pier?

It is called the Roundhouse and it houses an aquarium with a touch tank and many animal specimens from the Santa Monica Bay. It’s a particularly good place for kids, and admission is free. To learn more, visit the Roundhouse Aquarium website!
